Like any Sparklike measuring device: annually. Sparklike offers service on-demand, order it here. To make maintenance easier see also Sparklike CARE™.
When starting the device for the first time, the setup will take around 15-20 minutes since you must let the device warm-up for 15 min. During warm-up you can at the same time flush the measuring head, if needed. Once the Laser Portable™ has been taken in every-day use the start up takes 0–5 minutes.
Laser Portable 2.0 lasts for 2–3 hours and Laser Portable 2.1 lasts for 4-6. The device is automatically charged once connected to electricity. The lifetime of the Lithium battery is good; after 2000 cycles the battery still has 80,1% of its maximum capacity left.
To adjust the laser temperature:
If the readings or the graph are still incorrect, restart the program and press “Laser I&R” button again.
If this does not help, and the graph is still not correct (about 25-50 dots equal spacing), it means that the laser temperature is incorrect and needs to be adjusted: Try the self check function on Settings Page. You will have an info screen about laser temperature adjustment. If the temperature of the laser has changed so much that one cannot see the peaks in the Test page “Laser I&R” test, one can fine-tune the temperature as follows (Please read the manual and also Sparklike technical support can help you on this).
The Sparklike Laser™ offers a precise, non-invasive way to measure gas concentration in most commercial Insulating Glass Units (IGUs). This guide provides essential tips for optimal use, covering everything from basic operating principles to best practices. Using advanced TDLAS technology, the Sparklike Laser measures oxygen at the 760 nm wavelength, converting this to argon or krypton content without disturbing the IGU’s integrity.
Whether you’re managing quality control, avoiding common pitfalls, or aiming for consistent results, this guide is your resource for mastering Sparklike Laser measurements.
