Circular Glass and Re-use Potential of Insulating Glass Units – Thank you Hogeschool van Amsterdam

A month ago a seminar called Circular Glass was arranged in Netherlands and Sparklike wish to express our sincere appreciation for the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA), Elke van Nieuwenhuijzen and esteemed partners within the industry who have organized the event. This project focused on raising awareness of sustainable buildings and circular glass which is important topic for us also. That is why we participated to the research In situ detection of product age and argon concentration as measure of the re-use potential of insulating glass units in buildings where Laser Portable was used to test gas fill rate on-site. This research was presented in the seminar.

Involvement in this research has proven to be educational experience, providing valuable insights for us also. The findings underscore the critical role of precision in managing gas levels and the subsequent influence on overall energy efficiency and therefore possibilities to re-use of elements.

This research is not only shedding light on technical challenges but is also contributing significantly to our collective understanding of optimizing the gas filling process. Such insights are invaluable as we navigate the demands for enhanced energy efficiency in our industry.

We extend our gratitude to the Hogeschool van Amsterdam and all collaborators who played an integral role in orchestrating this seminar and research. As we reflect on the outcomes of this whole project, we look forward to future collaborations relating re-use of insulating glass or other topics.
